Remnant Reformed Church invites you to join us on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. for a Reformation Day lecture by Rev. Andrew Lanning on Martin Luther’s “Theology of the Cross.”
Although Martin Luther is best remembered for his 95 Theses in 1517, his Heidelberg Disputation in 1518 marked a significant development in the Reformation. His “Theology of the Cross” emphasized that God reveals his glory not through the wisdom and power of man, but through the suffering and death of Jesus Christ.
The lecture will explore the significance of Luther’s teaching and its continuing importance for the doctrine and life of the church today.
The lecture will be held at Pavilion Christian School, 9181 Kenowa Ave. SW, Grand Rapids, Michigan. A question-and-answer session and refreshments will follow.
All are welcome to attend. Please see the attached flyer for additional information.
