Berean Reformed Protestant Fellowship (updated)

In His grace, God has torn a hole in the net and broken the snare making a way of escape for his children in Singapore.

With the organization of the Berean Reformed Protestant Fellowship, God’s people are now given a place of refuge where they can join with like-minded believers who have fled an apostatizing sister of the PRC.

The brothers and sisters in the Berean RPF are again willing to allow us to open the Scriptures with them as they continue their Bible study this week Saturday, January 29. This week, Lord willing, Tian Loong will be speaking on the subject “Reformation or Schism?” The Bible study will be held at 7:00am (EST). The link for this Bible study, and future Bible studies which will be held on the same day and time, is below:

I am also told they hope to launch their blog and YouTube channel later this week. Once those sites are active, I will link to them at this post.

“And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few” (Acts 17:10-12).

  1. Precisely, GT! Exactly that!

An apostatizing church may know her doctrine but does not know Christ. She does not know love nor can she love either. She thinks she loves but is deluded. Such is the way of the apostatizing sister.

Just consider the wicked discipline of her members that she claims to be “love”.

  2. I appreciate you bringing up Christ, because that is exactly who the PRC displaced and continues to displace. Man? His name and position is secure in the PRC.

  3. “I may know all the doctrines of the Bible, but unless I know Christ, that is not one of them can save me. ” Charles H Spurgeon
    1Corinthians 13 v1
“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of (A)prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, (B)so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And (C)though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body [a]to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.”

If all faith alone n without love, the Bible says we are nothing.

  4. “What sins?” The sins had been explained ad nauseam in the Bible Study, in this blog, in the Sword & Shield, and by many letters of faithful saints, ; and so this question “What sins?” sounds eerily similar to apostate Israel’s question to God in Malachi 1: 7 “Wherein have we polluted thee?”
Malachi 2:17 “Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?”

  5. Hi GT, if you’d truly like to know, may I refer you to Mr Aaron Lim’s recordings on the BS. There are at least 6 studies, 2 Q&As, and 1 speech that built up the case. I have found them to be very helpful. They are well presented and clear. There are slides to help the listeners along for at least the 6 studies and for those who are in the group, there are also reading materials provided to see for themselves if what is said is true. Very helpful, if you ask me. Hope that helps.

The Q&As can also be found on youtube on FRPC’s channel. They answer some of the most common questions that is on people’s mind. Maybe they might answer your questions too 🙂

  6. Yes, as a sister church of the PRC, the CERC is responsible for the sins of her sister (see Joshua 7).
    What sins?

  7. Yes, as a sister church of the PRC, the CERC is responsible for the sins of her sister (see Joshua 7).

However, the CERC has gone further even than the PRC in her apostasy. The CERC has exercised Christian discipline against members of her flock that were engaging in a Bible study to study the issues involved in the controversy. They did this in obedience to the command of God to study the Scriptures (2 Tim. 2:15) and the command of God to try the spirits to see whether they are of God (1 John 4:1-5).

In approving the heresy that is found in the PRC, and by their declaration that there is no false doctrine in the PRC, the CERC has clearly shown that she has taken on the marks of a false church according to the Belgic Confession Article 29.

I point your attention to the material being published by the Berean Reformed Protestant Fellowship which lays these things out with great clarity.

  8. Why Call CERC an apostalising sister church of PRCA? Can you give any good biblical reason for concluding it? Becareful of one’s speech before God.

  9. “I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee. Ye that fear the Lord, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel. For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.” Psalm 22:22-24 Matt Medema
